Acoustic ban

Hi Nolan...

I am sorry to let you know that after Friday evening's performance I have received complaints regarding your friend Alex who 'opened' for you. One complaint I received said "he was a young man, very unkempt, wore no shoes, and had very questionable talent and
music style" and another stated "he was acting like he was on drugs" and that "he was inappropriate for young children and the families dining and was loud". I would like to make myself clear that T. Bar is not a venue for loud inappropriate music and I am embarrassed to have received these complaints and tarnish the image of the music T. Bar offers their customers. We expect professionalism, an acoustic mellow music style, and a volume that allows the customers to enjoy their meal and a conversation. I have received feedback regarding your personal 'set' which was favorable, however was told that you and Alex switched off rather than him opening for you and you doing the main set as it was advertised and agreed upon. The owners of T. Bar have also been made aware of this and are asking that I not book you in the future. I plan on having another discussion with them to reiterate that your music was looked upon favorably by the guests and staff and will see what I can do to have you back again. However, I am not sure of how successful I can be, as they are rather upset. You may want to have a nice long talk with your friend about professionalism, expectations, and how to read an audience/situation before playing his next gig and that what he does can affect you and your image negatively as well.

If you have any questions or need to discuss this further, please feel free to email me back.

I hope we can work with you in the future...

Michelle
